A Reiki Course Designed Just for Kids!

Children are naturally intuitive, sensitive, and full of energy. They often pick up on the emotions of people around them and feel things deeply—even if they don’t fully understand why. Reiki Level 1 course helps kids learn how to recognize energy, balance their emotions, and use Reiki for self-healing in a way that is simple, playful, and fun!

This 4-hour, 1-day Reiki Level 1 training class is specially created for young learners, using an interactive and engaging Reiki book written by Shannon and Dale. The book is designed specifically for children ages 6-9 and presents Reiki concepts in a colorful, story-based, and hands-on way.

Through fun activities, stories, and energy exercises, kids will receive their first Reiki attunement and learn how to use Reiki for themselves, pets, and even plants!

 

What Kids Will Learn in Reiki Level 1

A Simple & Fun Introduction to Energy

Kids are already in tune with energy—whether they feel happy and excited, tired and cranky, or calm and peaceful. In this section, they will learn:
  • That everything is made of energy, including people, animals, plants, and emotions.
  • That Reiki is a special kind of energy that can help them feel better when they’re sad, scared, or tired.
  • How Reiki is like a “superpower” of love and light that they can use anytime!


This is taught through simple stories, hands-on demonstrations, and imagination exercises, making it fun and easy to understand.

Where Does This Magic Come From?

Children love stories! Instead of teaching history in a boring way, we bring it to life through storytelling. They will hear:
  • The story of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of today’s Reiki system, and his journey to rediscovering this healing energy.
  • How Reiki has traveled from Japan to all over the world to help people feel better.
  • That Reiki is now used in hospitals, by families, and even for animals.

The goal is to inspire kids with the idea that they, too, can be part of this beautiful energy tradition!

Receiving Their First Reiki Energy Activation!

One of the most exciting and special moments in the class is the Reiki attunement. During this process, each child will receive their first connection to Reiki energy, which allows them to use Reiki whenever they want.

During the attunement, children may:

  • Feel warmth, tingles, or a peaceful sensation.
  • See colors or feel light inside them.
  • Simply feel happy, calm, or excited!

     

This is a magical experience for kids, and we make it gentle, fun, and full of positive energy so that they feel safe and comfortable.

Self-Healing for Kids

Reiki is an amazing tool that kids can use to help themselves feel calm, happy, and strong. They will learn:
  • How to place their hands on their body to send Reiki energy.
  • A simple routine to do Reiki when they feel nervous, sad, or upset.
  • How to calm down before bed using Reiki for better sleep.

We make this section fun with interactive games where kids can practice feeling the energy in their hands and bodies!

Sharing Energy with Pets

Once children learn how to do Reiki on themselves, they get excited about sharing it with others! We teach them:
  • How to help a pet feel safe and happy using Reiki.
  • How to send love and positive energy to plants or even their favorite stuffed animal.

Since kids naturally love to help, this part of the class is especially fun and heartwarming!

Helping with Big Emotions

Children often have big emotions but may not always know how to handle them. Reiki gives them a tool to manage:
  • Anger – Reiki can help calm their feelings when they’re upset.
  • Sadness – Reiki can bring comfort when they’re feeling down.
  • Fear or Worry – Reiki can make them feel safe and strong.
  • Excitement & Energy Overload – Reiki can help them relax when they feel too “bouncy.”

They will learn how to put their hands on their heart or head and use Reiki to feel peaceful, happy, and balanced.

Learning to Stay Safe from Negative Feelings

Kids often absorb the emotions of others, especially if they are highly sensitive. In this section, they will learn:
  • How to recognize “yucky” energy from people or places.
  • A fun visualization to create an energy bubble shield to protect themselves.
  • How to use the Power Symbol (Cho Ku Rei) to make their energy stronger and keep them safe.

These tools help kids feel empowered and in control of their own energy, which is important for sensitive children.

Making Their Space Full of Positive Energy

Sometimes kids feel uncomfortable in a room because of leftover negative energy. We teach them how to:
  • Use Reiki to clear their bedroom, classroom, or any space to make it feel fresh and peaceful.
  • Wave their hands or imagine light to send happy energy into the room.
  • Place their hands on their pillow or favorite toy to make them full of Reiki love.

Kids love this part because it gives them a way to make any space feel safe and happy.
